Breast cancer is the second-most common form of cancer afflicting American women. The National Cancer Institute estimates that mroe than 180,000 new cases will be diagnosed in the United States in 2007. Experts are placing an emphasis on early detection, encouraging all women over 40 to have regualar mamograms. Many companies donate proceeds during the month of October to Breast Cancer Awareness.
